Peter Brown spent his career working for the Department of Justice. Upon retiring, he dedicated himself to writing. He is the author of a novel, Ruthie Black (2006), and a self-published collection of short fiction, Sidewalk Faces (2012).
Brown was a winner of an O. Henry award in fiction, volunteered as a teacher of English as a Second Language, and taught creative writing classes at The Writer’s Center in Bethesda. He died at age 57 of heart disease.
